Thanks for your support

It seems like yesterday that we started counting the days of the new year and we have already consumed half of it!

Throughout these months, thanks to the support of individuals, companies and institutions, through our hospital ships, and the more than 1,400 volunteers from more than 60 nations, we have been able to transform the lives of hundreds of patients, bringing them health and hope.

Our hospital ship, the Global Mercy, was in the port of Dakar, serving two nations at once: Senegal and Gambia. From the beginning of February to the beginning of July, 887 surgeries were carried out, more than 360 local health professionals were trained, providing more than 27,000 hours of training.

From boys and girls who have regained mobility, adults who can now see, women who have recovered their dignity and self-esteem, to patients who now have a future, having corrected their health problem.

In addition, we have been able, through our medical teams, to act in Benin, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo.

The balance of our actions in favor of those most in need, while we have contributed to strengthening health systems in sub-Saharan Africa, in the first half of 2023 is as follows:

· We have carried out 1,640 surgical interventions, transforming the lives of 1,366 patients.

· Trained 729 local health professionals, providing more than 63,000 hours of training.

· Trained, for 22 weeks, 69 agricultural entrepreneurs in Benin and Senegal, in the Sustainable Agriculture program “Food for life”.

We want to share with you the video that summarizes what we have been able to do with your help.

We invite you to continue making it possible, thanks to your donations, for us to continue bringing health and hope to those most in need, both through free surgeries and by training and educating local health professionals.
