It seems like only yesterday that we started counting down the days of the new year and we’re already halfway through!
Throughout these months, thanks to the support of individuals, companies and institutions, through our hospital ships, and more than 1,400 volunteers from over 60 nations, we have been able to transform the lives of hundreds of patients, bringing them hope and healing.
Our hospital ship, the Global Mercy, was in the port of Dakar, serving two nations at a time: Senegal and The Gambia. From early February to early July, 887 surgeries were performed, training more than 360 local health professionals and providing more than 27,000 hours of training.

From children who have regained their mobility, adults who can now see, women who have regained their dignity and self-esteem, to patients who now have a future because their health problems have been corrected.

We have also been able, through our medical teams, to serve in Benin, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo.
The outcomes of our actions in favor of those most in need, while contributing to the strengthening of the health systems in sub-Saharan Africa, in the first half of 2023, is as follows:
· We have performed 1,640 surgical procedures, transforming the lives of 1,366 patients.
· Trained 729 local healthcare professionals, providing more than 63,000 hours of training.
· Trained, for 22 weeks, 69 agricultural entrepreneurs in Benin and Senegal, through our “Food for Life” program.

We want to share with you the video that summarizes what we have been able to do with your help.

We invite you to continue to make it possible, with your donations, in order that we can bring hope and healing to those most in need, providing free surgeries and by training and educating local healthcare professionals.
