Our vessels are state-of-the-art facilities that offer clean water, reliable electricity and healthcare facilities. With more than 50% of the world’s population living within 100 miles of the coast, we can sail modern hospital ships directly to people who lack access to safe and affordable medical care.
Throughout the history of Mercy Ships, there have been a variety of ships in service, all of them used to bring hope and healing to people in need and with scarce resources. Our newest vessel, the Global Mercy, is the newest addition to our fleet, joining the Africa Mercy to double our performance capability.
As this new vessel can only be in one geographical area at a time, it is the wish of Mercy Ships to increase the fleet in the future and to be able to offer our help to more people and in more places.
From our offices in 17 countries, we support the work being done on the ground, recruiting volunteers, seeking resources and raising public awareness of the situation in sub-Saharan Africa.
